Tim Schulte named new Chief Operating Officer for Des Moines Regional Catholic Schools

The Des Moines Regional Catholic Schools Board of Directors has hired Tim Schulte as Chief Operating Officer. 

Schulte has been the business manager at St. Francis Church in West Des Moines since July of 2022.  During his time at St. Francis, he has overseen the operations and led the business office by working with parish committees, budgets, maintenance, and long-term planning. Prior to his time at St. Francis, Schulte worked with Hy-Vee as a controller and served as a business manager at Meredith Corporation. 

Schulte is a graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic School and Dowling Catholic High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Northern Iowa and his MBA from Creighton University.  Before working in the corporate world, he taught business and technology courses at Dowling Catholic High School for six years.

Des Moines Regional Catholic Schools consists of 11 Catholic grade schools in the Des Moines metropolitan area and Dowling Catholic High School. The region's schools are working collectively to centralize business functions so pastors and principals have more time to focus on faith and education.

Schulte begins his new role within the Des Moines Regional Catholic Schools on Oct. 28. His office will be at St. Francis Parish.
