News: Two Schools Announce Leadership Changes

Two Catholic schools announced leadership changes for the 2021-2022 school year.
Sacred Heart Catholic School in West Des Moines announced that longtime principal Jane Kinney is retiring. The new principal will be Scott Ehlinger, the school's current assistant principal. Susan Battani will be the new assistant principal.
Ehlinger brings more than 20 years of educational experience to the role of principal. He is adept at school leadership having served as an assistant principal, athletic director and instructional leader in both public and Catholic schools throughout Iow aned Wisconsin.
Battani has 17 years of educational experience in both public and private schools. Since 2015, she has served as a kindergarten classroom teacher at St. luke the Evangelist Catholic School in Ankeny. See this link for complete details on the leadership change at Sacred Heart School.
At Holy Trinity Catholic School in Des Moines, it was announced that teacher Elizabeth Brott will be the new assistant principal next school year. Brott brings more than eight years of educational experience from both public and Catholic schools to the role. Since 2014, she has served as the middle school social studies teacher at Holy Trinity along with a number of instructional leadership committees designed to improve student outcomes.
