New: Diocese wins architecture group award for rehabilitation

Catholic Pastoral Center Preservation Iowa's 2918 Preservation at Its Best award will be given to the Diocese of Des Moines for excellence in historic preservation efforts in the Sustainability in Preservation category for the rehabilitation of the Catholic Pastoral Center. The center experienced a major rehabilitation project in 2016-2017 in keeping with historic preservation guidelines. The award will be presented Aug. 28 at the Waterloo Elks Club in Waterloo.
