Is God calling you to be a Catholic deacon?

September 21, 2022

Litany of Saints

The permanent diaconate is an ancient and sacred ministry of service dating back to the time of the apostles. Deacons are ministers of Charity, the Word and the Altar.

The Church welcomes faithful to ask themselves if they are being called by God to serve the Church through this commitment to holy orders. Men who are interested in learning about the role of deacons in our Diocese are invited to attend one of the upcoming information meetings. The meetings, which are from 6:30-8;00 p.m., will include information about the requirements for admission into the deacon formation program and an explanation of the ongoing process of discernment to the diaconate.
