Introducing our newest deacon

Congratulations to the newly ordained Deacon Alex Kramer, of Holy Trinity Parish in Des Moines. He was ordained by Cardinal Wilton Gregory to the transitional diaconate on Sept. 30.

Deacon Kramer studies theology at the Pontifical North American College in Vatican City.

A graduate of Holy Trinity School and Dowling Catholic High School, Deacon Kramer’s vocation to the priesthood was influenced by his pastors over the years and other seminarians who seemed happy in their pursuit of their vocation.

“They are all joyous and Christ centered, which is something I strive for,” he said.
