Fast and Pray this Friday

Los Angeles Archbishop Jose H. Gomez, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Baltimore Archbishop William E. Lore, chair of the USCCB's Committee on pro-Life Activities, invite the faithful to unite in fasting and prayer this Friday, May 13, the Memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. The prayer is for five intentions including the protecting the dignity and rights of the human person from conception to natural death. 

Bishop William Joensen joins them in encouraging us, the faithful in the Diocese of Des Moines, to fast and pray in this nationwide effort. Here is Bishop Joensen's letter to the faithful.
