Des Moines Regional Catholic Schools looks for new leader

September 19, 2024

On Monday, Sept. 16, Dr. Dan Ryan, president of Dowling Catholic High School and Des Moines Regional Catholic Schools, announced he would be stepping down from his position as president of the regional schools to devote his full attention to Dowling Catholic.

We are grateful for his hard work in getting this initiative off the ground.

The Diocese of Des Moines is committed to moving forward with the regionalization plan, which will help our Catholic schools run more efficiently thereby letting our schools focus on providing a great education in a faith-filled environment. We have six schools in the regionalization now and expect to add the rest next school year. The Board of Directors met on Thursday, Sept. 19.  At that meeting, a plan to find the next leader was discussed.  The board will be posting for this open position and we are hopeful we will fill it in the near future.
