Bishop to celebrate Memorial Day Mass at Glendale Cemetery

Bishop Richard Pates will celebrate the annual Memorial Day Mass on Monday, May 28 at Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Ave., in Des Moines at 10 a.m. Flowers will be provided for all the graves of priests from the Diocese of Des Moines. Everyone is welcome. In case of rain, Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 1230 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines. The 4th Degree Honor Guard of the Knights of Columbus will be present. Memorial Day is a federal holiday when we remember the men and women who died in military service to the United States.
