Memorial Mass for Pope Francis at the Basilica of St. J

Bishop William Joensen will celebrate a memorial Mass for Pope Francis on Saturday morning, April 26, at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of St. John in Des Moines.

All are welcome and invited to attend. Since the Mass falls within the Octave of Easter, the texts of the Mass and the readings must be taken from Saturday of the Octave. However, we will pray in a particular way for the late Holy Father.

The Mass is open to the public.  No ticket or RSVP is required. Seating will be reserved for priests, deacons, deacons’ wives, and vowed religious.
